I've been neglecting this blog, since our return from Oman. We had a wonderful time visiting our friends, and they kept us so busy that little painting was done.The first is a pastel sketch of the view from David's back garden.
The second is a quick watercolour sketch done while Jean collected shells on the beach.

On the spot sketches are invaluable to an artist Mark.Photos are good too , but the personal hand drawn/painted record is always better.
Your sketches have a lovely freshness and "feel" for the location.
