Worthing sunset

This was painted during a session at Art Club on spontaneous painting, i.e. no drawing before you start painting.

It measures approx 26 cms by 18 cms and was painted with St Petersburg watercolour paints on Bockingford paper.

The reference was a photograph.

Here it is - the final piece after the half-term spent at class on the theme of portraits and flowers. It was painted from a photograph from the Wet Canvas RIL, and measures approx 22 cms by 30 cms.

It is a good likeness and the dappled light through the foliage makes it more interesting IMHO. We'll see how the class react after half term.

Coloured glass on windowsill

This was painted last night at Art Club. It is approximately 11" by 14" and painted with Atelier Interactive acrylics on primed hardboard.

The reference was a photograph from the IRL on Wet Canvas.

Given the limited time, it has worked quite well - I think. The plan is now to paint this image in watercolour, possibly for inclusion in the Window on Watercolur exhibition in May.
