We looked at the work of the French Fauvist painter Andre Derain this week. It started me thinking - if Derain had come to Worthing, how would he have painted it?
With full acknowledgement to the genius of the founder of the Fauvist movement, here is my interpretation of Worthing seafront. Rendered in Conte pastel on Winsor grey pastel paper it measures 10" by 8".
To misquote Terry Pratchett - " As much fun as you can have on your own with a pastel pencil."
